Marine Marvels Virtual Course
The exciting Marine Marvels online course aims to roll back the "blue blanket" and give everyone the tools and knowledge to discover the wonders of the ocean for themselves. Even if you have no existing knowledge of sea life at all, the Marine Marvels course will equip you and your family with what you need to identify common types of animals in your local rockpools, understand how they have adapted to their environment, and learn how the different ocean ecosystems and organisms coexist in a vast, but interconnected, marine system!
Who is this course for?
The Marine Marvels course is open to anyone, anywhere in the world. The course content is suitable for adults and teenagers. No prior marine knowledge is required.
When is the course?
The Marine Marvels course takes place over four online sessions.
What does the course include?
The course offers you an opportunity to:
- Broaden your understanding of the exceptional marine animals living on rocky and sandy shores.
- Peer beneath the waves and meet some of the incredible creatures, from fish and sharks to turtles, penguins, and whales.
- Deepen your understanding of the threats that face the ocean.
- Learn about the conservation efforts led by the Two Oceans Aquarium and how you can get involved.
The course will be delivered online via Thinkific where additional supporting material will be made available. Recordings of each session will also be available to participants.
Price and signup:
The participation fee for the Marine Marvels course is R650 per person.
