The Flipper Effect: Protect Bob's Home
Bob is a turtle with a special story. Rescued eight years ago, Bob has recovered from severe injury and infection - a direct result of confusing plastic bags and balloons for food and becoming too weak to survive in the wild. It has only been through luck and the hard work of the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation's turtle conservation team that Bob is now on the verge of returning to the wild, but this doesn't mean our mission ends - we all need to work together to protect Bob's home: the ocean.

Support our work
From caring for hundreds of loggerhead turtle hatchlings to bringing the ocean’s wonders to under-resourced schools, our work is impossible without your help. By donating, you are protecting the future of endangered species, preserving the welfare of local wildlife, and instilling a lifelong love of the ocean in young minds. Please consider making a small contribution to a great cause.
Job Shadowing
The Two Oceans Aquarium offers a job shadow programme for Grade 9 to 12 learners. This programme is intended to give youths that would like to one day work in the marine science environment, marine conservation or an attraction like the Aquarium an idea of what to expect from their future career.
