Dr Sylvia Earle's appeal to save the African penguin

The Two Oceans Aquarium and partners have called on South Africans to take stronger action to save the African penguin - which is facing extinction in the wild by 2035. We're incredibly pleased to have world-renowned marine biologist and ocean conservation advocate Dr Sylvia Earle of Mission Blue add her voice to this urgent appeal for action.

If you share Dr Sylvia Earle's vision of a future where today's children can still share South Africa with penguins in the wild, there are a few things you can do:

  1. Sign this petition to Save The African Penguin (and encourage everyone you know to do the same).
  2. Please email South Africa’s Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment directly by completing the form here.
  3. Continue to be a voice for the African penguin with your families and friends by supporting conservation organisations like SANCCOB and using your voice to keep this on the political agenda.

Your voice holds weight! Please help us to support the African penguin's future.
